A popular fairy tale by Danish author Hans Christian Andersen is entitled "Svinedrengen", translated in English as "The Swineherd".
It's about a poor prince who wants to marry the Emperor's daughter and becomes The Imperial Swineherd in order to win the princess. Read the story in English here. Or read it in the original Danish here.
