Mission in Manchuria will be on vacation until September 2, 2009. On that date, we will return with the story of Christian Bøg, Anna Bøg’s foundling ancestor, whose baptismal anniversary is September 2.

Then, we will continue Anna Bøg’s story as it unfolds during the 1930s when the Japanese took over the entirety of Manchuria following the “Mukden incident”. During this period, Anna Bøg wrote letters home to Denmark with a first-hand account of the arrival of the Japanese in Siuyen as she continued her work with the women.

We hope that during our vacation our readers will peruse any installments missed in the past. (See the link list on the right hand side of the page.) We especially would like to have comments from any readers who can provide information that corrects or supplements our posts. Feel free to comment in Danish or another language.
